"Powell Construction completed construction of our home in Edgewater in February 2008, and the process from beginning to end was handled extremely well by their team. Working with Greg and Project Manager/Estimator Chris Flock from the beginning of the process allowed us to solidify our house plans and develop a reliable budget based upon our desired finish selections. They asked us questions that we had not thought about and were very helpful in minimizing troubles during construction. With assistance from their interior designer we were able to choose from myriad selections of flooring, paint, cabinets, doors, etc. Most of the selections could be made right in their showroom, avoiding time consuming "running around" by us. The construction crews were diligent, clean and always willing to talk with us about layout, schedule, progress, etc. They took great pride in their work and always treated us with respect. Their subcontractors were also very high quality. Near completion of the house, Greg personally walked through the house and noted things that needed to be fixed or improved. He was very thorough in his review and was pickier than we were about many things, which was very much appreciated. Since we moved in, the folks at Powell Construction have been very willing to address all minor issues that arise in a timely manner. We have heard from many other families who built a home and described it as one of the most difficult, frustrating experiences that they have ever been through. For us, it was just the opposite.

We also know that Greg can manage a development project equally well. He completed Island Point with Chris Marzke in St. Joseph, as one example. The area on marina island near the wastewater treatment plant previously was in rough shape. It was quickly transformed into a desirable, quality residential development enjoyed by locals and out-of-towners alike. They built marina facilities, housing, infrastructure and resident amenities that are very high quality.
